Journeying to China again, introducing Hannah

In July, 2002 we received our referral for Hannah. We traveled the first week in September, 2002

We decided for this trip we should have "matching shirts" for a number of special occassions - travel being one! Ben was a pretty active and fast kid, and we thought if we were all dressed in red shirts, if he wandered it would be quick to put us all together. What you can't see in the pictures is that each shirt says something different -- Mama, Papa, oldest son, and cousin! We had a baby "one-sy" made which said baby - all in chinese! We left out of Dulles airport, another memorable trip - Ben did not fall asleep the entire trip until 30 minutes prior to arrival.

This is the picture we called our "have to break this beautiful baby out of prison fast" picture -- it was one of the first two pictures we received when we got our referral for Hannah. We knew we had to get there fast and make this precious little girl smile!

The bottom picture is the 2nd picture we received of Hannah-- we are not sure what she may have been thinking about while this picture was being taken -- we just wanted her as fast as possible.

This time we wore our shirts, we were all together - this was probably two or three days after Hannah was put in our arms.
