Remembering the beginning - Ben

Because we didn't have a digital camera then, we have few pictures easily uploadable for this blog. The group picture is at the orphanage 2 days after we adopted Ben. We were invited back and had the opportunity to meet caregivers, the directors and see Ben's actual crib and room. I still remember my fear that when we arrived back at the orphanage with Ben after just two days after we first got him, he would want to go back to his foster mother who cared for him. Those fears were diminished quickly - he would not let go of me the entire time we were visiting the orphanage. The picture to the far left on top was what we used when we sent out "Ben is home" announcements. The picture of Ben in the "walker" was the earliest picture taken of Ben that we were given. The lady at the bottom holding Ben was his foster mother and who we hope we will be able to visit with when we arrive in Harbin. In the group picture with the pink around it --in the middle is the Fisher family - the tall blonde man, his wife to the right, holding their (2nd) daughter, Grace -- they are presently in China finishing their homeland tour and emailed us from Harbin to tell us about their visit! Every time I look at these pictures, I still think Ben is the most beautiful boy in the world and how blessed we are to have our sweet Benjamin.
