The flies were horrible in the market - this lady had her fly swatter and would swat the flies right over the meat. The meat was fresh, but seeing those flies, really took the appetite away for a steak dinner. The spices were amazing. Everything from hot peppers to curry smells, to fresh teas and dates.![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjm9Wj32QJSIsxMIV_cs1ZW1cHhjR9pWt4ZXl3LUPnZpNiyTK_UcINDIK1LVQXp88TNqbVotaDA7fFqH4UdSigQ1DlGBL7OcuWiW-qkkamTQmHbqRAmHW2Ew2UqLMWZ0NG20eKEdxqdkVg/s320/DSC_0547.JPG)

The noodles above.
The blue bin with what may look like dirty golf balls slightly misshaped are actually quail eggs! Fresh vegetables abounding - it was amazing. Every type of fresh green, squash and eggplant. Every street corner was selling watermelon as well. Garlic the size of your fist, dug out fresh that day.
We really enjoyed walking these markets.
