This is our host with the kids and me the next morning. We were very fortunate to be able to go to the studio of world renown Chinese folk farmer artist 
Pan Xiaoling - she gave the kids a lesson in paper cutting and then demonstrated painting for us - the kids really enjoyed it and we got the the opportunity to buy some original paintings from her own gallery. if you google her you can see a lot about her - she is the same age as me and really was able to start painting in 1974 and her painting changed significantly as the cultural revolution wound down in china. the kids all got to try the paper cutting.

The paints - so many beautiful colors! We ended up buying three paintings which will go over the bench we ended up buying in China!
